Otto Tang holds a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design from the University of Salford and a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from the University of Huddersfield, graduating with First Class Honours. After graduating, he began his fashion career with veteran designer Lu Lu Cheung, contributing to many of Cheung’s acclaimed collections, including several recent spring/summer and autumn/winter series.
As a seasoned young fashion designer, Otto has participated in numerous fashion competitions. His accolades include a Ten Excellence Award at the 2003 Hong Kong Young Designers’ Contest and Overall Winner at the 2005 Hong Kong New Fashion Collection Award, both organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, as well as the 2007 DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award* from the Hong Kong Design Centre. He was also awarded the Silver Prize at the 2015 DFA Design for Asia Awards* and participated in the Fashion Incubation Programme (2019–2021), both organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre.
