Dohyun Yang, founder and creative director of Extraordinary, has led creative projects for a variety of clients, most notably Adidas Korea, through his design studio Unius Design Lab. He is a recipient of the 2018 Red Dot Design Award (Product Design Category) and a former lecturer at Kaywon University of Art & Design. Yang’s concept-driven philosophy forms the backbone of the brand, shaping its identity and creative direction.
Extraordinary inspires in the most ordinary and develops visual messages into clothing in the most extraordinary way. Ordinary refers to the classic empathy that has been built up through many trials and errors, and extraordinary refers to the NEW of time and behaviour that breaks down bad customs that have not been resolved for a long time. Extraordinary is making a collection with the goal of convergence of mediocrity and extraordinariness in harmony with the rapidly changing phenomena of the times.
