Arto is a knitwear designer celebrated for her technical innovation and strong sense of colour. She graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a degree in Fashion and Textile Design, specialising in knitwear and technology. Her collection Zero to Unlimited earned her the Champion and New Talent Award at The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC) in 2017. She previously won top honours at the 2013 Hong Kong Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest (YKDC), receiving both the Champion and Best Marketability awards.
In 2018, Arto launched her namesake label, ARTO., and was honoured with the CreateSmart Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award* by the Hong Kong Design Centre. Her experience includes working with the London-based brand Mira Mikati and renowned Japanese knitwear machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, building a strong foundation in both design and advanced textile technologies.
