DESIGNERS PROFILE
Fashion InStyle is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong SAR Government as the lead sponsor. As a premier sourcing platform for the Asian fashion and textile industry, this year’s edition brings together over 450 exhibitors from ten countries and regions. A highlight of the event is the launch of the groundbreaking NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, which features around 60 global material suppliers presenting cutting-edge fashion material technologies. Han Chong, founder of the internationally renowned brand Self-Portrait, served as project advisor, offering valuable industry insight.
NEXT@Fashion InStyle offers an immersive experience that merges art and sustainable technology through interactive showcases of innovative materials—ranging from bio-fabricated textiles to recycled fibers and smart fabrics. Five Hong Kong designers were invited to create unique works using these materials: AlgaFila & Lotuxilk x Arto Wong, Sustainable Denim x Jason Ying, Functional Fabric x Johnson Chong, Gambiered Canton Silk x Kinyan Lam, and AlgaFila x Toki Wong. Visitors were able to view the finished pieces while gaining insight into the stories and creative processes behind them. The exhibition opened up dialogue on the future of sustainable fashion and the evolving relationship between design and material innovation, offering new perspectives for the industry’s sustainable development.
NEXT@Fashion InStyle 2025 Designers
Arto Wong
Arto is a knitwear designer celebrated for her technical innovation and strong sense of color. She graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a degree in Fashion and Textile Design, specialising in knitwear and technology. Her collection Zero to Unlimited earned her the Champion and New Talent Award at the 2017 Hong Kong Young Fashion Designer Contest. She previously won top honors at the 2013 Hong Kong Young Knitwear Designer Contest, receiving both the Champion and Best Marketability awards.
In 2018, Arto launched her namesake label, ARTO., and was honored with the CreateSmart Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award by the Hong Kong Design Centre. Her experience includes working with the London-based brand Mira Mikati and renowned Japanese knitwear machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, building a strong foundation in both design and advanced textile technologies.
Jason Ying
Ying Kwan Shing is a passionate and creative fashion designer who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Queensland University of Technology in 2021. Over the years, he has developed a wide range of skills, including tailoring, pattern-making, virtual fashion, product management and sewing. Combined with his dedication to innovation and craftsmanship, these skills have shaped his journey in the fashion industry.
He gained hands-on experience as a design assistant at the Australian streetwear brand Figures of Speech, where he worked for a year. He further honed his expertise during an internship with the renowned London-based brand Self-Portrait. These experiences allowed him to immerse himself in the dynamic world of fashion and deepen his understanding of design and production processes.
Ying has also had the privilege of showcasing his work at prestigious events such as the Brisasia Fashion Show, Praema Fashion Show, Brisbane Factory Fashion Show and Thailand Fashion Week. These experiences have enriched his global perspective on fashion and allowed him to share his unique design vision with diverse audiences. One of his proudest achievements was winning the Champion title and the Best Visual Presentation Award at the YDC Hong Kong Young Designers Competition, which validated his creative approach and artistic expression.
As the founder of Nevidebla, he is committed to redefining fashion by merging innovation and sustainability. His vision is to create designs that push boundaries, carry cultural significance, and inspire a connection to the future of fashion. Every piece he creates reflects his attention to detail, his passion for storytelling through design and his belief in a more thoughtful, sustainable approach to style.
Johnson Chong
Johnson Chong is a fashion designer who blends functionality and style to create garments that fit seamlessly into modern urban life. With over six years of experience in the industry, he has collaborated with brands such as Casetify and Mini Cooper, and designed stagewear for events like the 2024 Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. In 2022, he launched his own label, yamaguest, which explores fashion that is both technically refined and intuitively wearable.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Johnson studied fashion at Nottingham Trent University in the UK. There, he gained hands-on experience through internships with established brands, further shaping his practical approach to design. In recent years, he has drawn inspiration from trends like Urban Outdoor and Gorpcore, incorporating technical materials like X-Pac to create garments that are lightweight, functional, and stylish.
His work has been featured in international outlets such as Hypebeast and Vogue, and presented at events including Hong Kong Fashion Week. Now based in Hong Kong, Johnson continues to explore the intersection of performance wear and everyday fashion, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and versatility.
Kinyan Lam
Kinyan Lam’s design philosophy is grounded in craftsmanship, material exploration, and a strong sense of cultural continuity — values shaped by his diverse educational journey. He holds a Master’s degree from the London College of Fashion, as well as qualifications from Nottingham Trent University and the Hong Kong Design Institute.
In 2021, he founded Genau Studio, a creative space dedicated to the development and promotion of natural dyeing techniques. The following year, he launched his own namesake label, Kinyan Lam, which incorporates the technical research and artisanal processes developed at Genau Studio. The brand places emphasis on quality, sustainability, and a human-centered approach to fashion.
Toki Wong
Toki graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion (Knitwear Design and Technology) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2015, after earning his Higher Diploma in Knitwear Design and Development from the Hong Kong Design Institute in 2013. He spent five years working at a commercial fashion sourcing company before launching his own brand, Kowloon City Boy, in 2021.
Known for his bold use of colour and playful, thoughtful knitwear, Toki brings a mix of creativity, humour and social commentary to his work. His designs reflect the personality of a modern Hong Kong “city boy”: cheeky and down-to-earth. From the pandemic-inspired Zoom Olympics collection to SS22 – Sun of the Beach, which merges beachwear and loungewear, his collections are stylish, wearable, and rooted in everyday experience.
Toki hopes to build his brand into a defining local label — casual and relatable — with plans to eventually expand internationally as he gains experience in marketing and retail.
The “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024” is organized by the Knitwear Innovation and Design Society, with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong SAR Government as the lead sponsor. The contest achieved remarkable success, with fashion shows and exhibitions held at both “CENTRESTAGE 2024” in Hong Kong and “A/W 2024 Shenzhen Fashion Week”. A two-month pop-up store was also established at D2 Place, and finalist designs were made available through online platforms including Taobao and lifestyo.com.
The competition aims to foster exchange among designers from Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China, enhance awareness of innovative knitwear design, attract emerging young talent to the knitwear industry, and promote the holistic development of the knitwear sector across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Bicy Yip
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Bicy Yip has been passionate about fashion design, artistic expression, and science fiction since childhood. After graduating from the Knitwear Design Department at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she launched her design career by founding Mumssdesign Studio, where she focuses on crafting one-of-a-kind handmade garments sold both online and in physical retail stores.
In addition to her design practice, Bicy actively contributes to education by teaching design and sewing in local schools. Her design philosophy encourages people to break free from social expectations and the gaze of others, embracing their individuality with confidence. She believes that everyone should “be who they want to be.”
Evanna Chiu
Evanna Chiu is a fashion designer based in both Hong Kong and New York. Recognising fashion design as a pivotal means of self-expression, she explores various techniques adeptly and employs state-of-the-art technology in her creative endeavours. Specialising in creating knitwear and designing 3D garments, Evanna combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary methodologies to offer a harmonious synthesis of art and utility. Her dedication to exploring diverse forms of artistic expression and integrating them into everyday life highlights her commitment to enhancing the intersection of aesthetics and functionality.
Hay Wong
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hay graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Knitwear Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and currently works as a knitwear designer. Curious and open-minded by nature, she enjoys exploring diverse subjects, finds inspiration in the works of Haruki Murakami, and admires brands like Raf Simons and Paloma Wool.
She entered the world of knitwear design by chance, but was quickly drawn in by the medium’s creative freedom. From the development of raw materials to the final product, she finds joy in the endless possibilities — even with the same yarn, different textures, densities, and combinations can lead to entirely original pieces.
John Ng
John Ng is a professional digital fashion creator. He specializes in using a variety of 3D software for design and has extensive experience in the design and production of knitwear. As an innovator, he is passionate about exploring new design methods and development processes. Looking ahead, he aims to harness cutting-edge technologies to create fashion pieces that are both unique and forward-thinking.
Kate Yau
Kate graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is currently engaged in fashion and product design at a well-known designer brand. Always eager for a challenge, she participated in numerous fashion design competitions during her studies while also working as a freelance designer and stylist to refine her skills and gain hands-on experience.
These early experiences pushed her to explore various approaches to design and better understand her personal style. To Kate, design is a process of self-discovery, with her aesthetic evolving alongside her life experiences. Fashion, to her, is a medium for expressing her thoughts and telling her story.
Her inspiration for this collection stems from snow monsters—mythical beings as pure and mysterious as snowflakes, dwelling deep within snow-covered forests. “Nature is the best designer.” Through this series, she hopes to prompt reflection on the connection between humans and the natural world. Even as society moves toward a highly technological future, she encourages us not to forget nature’s gifts.
Using natural materials like wool, she mimics the unusual textures and furry appearance of these legendary creatures. The collection highlights the plush, fur-like qualities of wool and explores alternative textures to replace traditional fur.
Kin Li
Kin is a knitwear fashion designer and a graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Textiles. Over the years, he has developed extensive experience in design, blending classic and contemporary aesthetics in his work. Through expert knitting craftsmanship, his creations showcase refined detailing and structural innovation. Kin has participated in several fashion design competitions, including being selected for both the Youth Design Award and the 3rd “Pu Yuan Cup” PH Value China Knitwear Designer Competition in 2017—milestones that have been instrumental in shaping his professional growth.
Xinan Ciao
Ciao Xinan graduated from the Knitting Technology programme at Dongguan Textile and Fashion School. With a cheerful and sociable personality, she values honesty, kindness, and personal growth. Passionate about learning and self-improvement, she aspires to keep progressing steadily in her journey as a designer and hopes to achieve meaningful accomplishments through continued exploration and effort.
Yolansa Tong
Yolansa Tong, founder of the original designer brand NONETONE, holds a Master’s degree in Textile and Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She was the Greater Bay Area Champion of the 2024 Young Woolen Textile Designers Competition and was named one of the Top Ten Fashion Designers of the Year at the 2024 Bay Area Fashion Awards.
She sees knitting as both the foundation of her creative practice and a medium through which she explores and expresses the fashion world. The fusion of traditional craftsmanship with the style and sensibilities of modern women lies at the heart of each seasonal collection.
“Amazing Cut” is organized by the Textile Council of Hong Kong with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong SAR Government as the lead sponsor. First broadcast on Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) in 2024, it became Hong Kong’s first reality TV program dedicated to highlighting the talents of local fashion designers. The show aims to discover and showcase Hong Kong’s creative potential and craftsmanship, offering emerging designers a platform to reach millions of viewers across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area—greatly enhancing their public recognition.
Blending competition with entertainment, the program features designers tackling a variety of creative challenges, presenting their concepts and technical skills while receiving expert feedback from a panel of professional judges. Each episode is centered around a distinct theme—ranging from evening wear to casual fashion—allowing audiences to explore a diverse range of styles and creations.
“Amazing Cut” not only contributes to the growth of Hong Kong’s fashion industry, but also inspires younger generations to engage with fashion, becoming a meaningful part of the city’s cultural fabric. The platform has helped many emerging designers gain visibility and launch their careers on an international stage, further promoting the global reach of Hong Kong fashion.

Doris Kath Chan
Doris Kath Chan, a local designer in Hong Kong, founded personal brand “DORISKATH” in 2014. The fundamental concept is “One Item, Multiple Styles”, the same item can be presented in numerous ways.
Being invited to Global fashion platforms like the Copenhagen & London Fashion Week stages, DORISKATH’s designs attracted buyers all over the world. Besides, DORISKATH actively participated in commercial events, and many celebrities fell in love with it. They often invited her to design tailor-made clothes and gowns for various business and private events. A breakthrough came with DORISKATH these years. In 2023, used to cooperate with other creative brands, e.g. Lego. Moreover, DORISKATH launched the SS22 collection at CENTRESTAGE in Hong Kong, and it’s the first time to include menswear designs. In 2023, DORISKATH stand its ground on supporting sustainable fashion, hence presented the collection “RECONSTRUCT”, and even extended the concept on further collaborations.
Doris plays many other roles while being the designer and creative director behind her brand. In 2023, Doris brought “DORISKATH” winning the Hong Kong Brand Design Award 2023 with honours. At the same time, Doris’ experience has stimulated her passion towards educating, in recent years, Doris had dedicated most of her time into teaching and lecturing.
Jackson Wong
“APOGÉE” is French, meaning “apex” or “peak.” In a brand or company name, using “APOGÉE” symbolizes excellence, achievement, and the pursuit of perfection. This is also the philosophy behind my creations.

Jackson aspires to be a brand that inspires confidence and self-expression, offering a wide range of sizes, customized fittings, and styling options. Kev Yiu
Kev is a Hong Kong couture designer with over 15 years’ experience creating high-end dresses. His unique vision of the feminine form, expressed through glamorous designs featuring luxurious detailing and embroidery, has earned him recognition from various international high-fashion brands and famous actresses and celebrities.
He graduated with triple distinctions in fashion and clothing in England in 2006. After moving back to Hong Kong in 2007, he launched his first couture brand, Sovereign Romance. He was named a fashion icon by Jessica Code magazine in 2010 and 2014.
In 2013, Sovereign Romance was renamed Kev Yiu Couture. Following many years of hard work and demonstrating his unique talent, Kev won the Ten Outstanding Designers Award in 2014.
Furthermore, in 2015, he founded the Hong Kong bridal wear brand KEVOLIE with the renowned Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu. He has developed his career beyond couture design and is actively involved in developing the fashion industry. He was awarded the “WHOW Hong Kong 2016 – Craftsmanship Award”.
In 2020, he joined Sennet Frères, where he directed the design and production teams alongside the renowned singer Hins Cheung and established the Atelier. With the launch of the brand in 2020, Kev proved his talent and fashion sense once again, capturing the attention of top-tier fashion magazines and media outlets.
In 2021, he moved on to his latest collection with Sennet Frères, collaborating with iconic Disney princesses. He became the first authorised designer in the Asia-Pacific region to design and present a complete couture collection based on all 14 Disney princesses and queens.
Kyle Luo
Graduated with a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Art, the world’s most influential institution for art and design. Studied under international fashion masters Wendy Dagworthy, Tristan Webber, and Julie Verhoeven. The institution is recognized as a leading university for producing globally influential fashion graduates, listed in the yellow directory.
Started a business in 2018 while at university, winning the Pearl River Delta Entrepreneurship Award and securing 1 million yuan in late-stage investment for outstanding commercial entrepreneurship.
The company established the designer brand CALICO COLLECTION and the luxury custom brand YUHAO LUO, attracting major female celebrities for designated collaborations and partnering with high-end luxury brands.
Mandy Fong
Mandy Fong graduated from Fashion and Textile of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in high-end fashion and sustainable fashion. After graduating, she actively participated in various prestigious competitions such as World Skills Competition, the Young Designers Contest (YDC), and the Redress Design Award, achieving excellent results and gaining valuable experience. Driven by her passion for fashion, she decisively founded her own independent designer brand, SZMAN.
SZMAN is a sustainable luxury fashion brand founded in 2022 that embodies the spirit of classic modern romance and showcases the softness and strength of women. The inspiration comes from the timeless beauty and elegance of classic modern romanticism, believing that this style combines vintage and contemporary elements to create a unique and versatile aesthetic that allows women to express their individuality through fashion.
Moon Li
Moon Li founded her fashion brand LOCOWEED in 2019. A graduate of film studies, she pursued her dream of fashion design and won a competition that launched her career. This opened the door for her to design outfits for Miss Hong Kong contestants and various entertainment stars.
In 2023, she established her second venture, the perfume brand OCO . Currently, OCO has distribution stores in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Spain, Japan, and Vietnam, expanding its presence in international markets. The brand was recognized with the Annual Innovative Design Brand Award in 2025.
Otto Tang
Otto Tang holds a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design from the University of Saiford, and (BA) Hons Fashion Design from University of Huddersfield (First Honor). Otto joined veteran fashion designer Lu Lu Cheung’s label to start and develop his career in fashion design immediately after his graduation. Otto assisted to create numerous acclaimed collections for Lu Lu Cheung, including several spring/summer and fall/winter collections from recent years. As a prolific young practitioner of fashion design, Otto participated in numerous fashion contests, and holds the notable distinction of winning outright the Young Designers Contest (Ten Best Collection) organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 2003, the Hong Kong New Collection Award (Overall Winner) organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 2005; and the Young Designer Talent Award 2007 organised by Hong Kong Design Centre. The Hong Kong (DFA) Design for Asia Award – Silver Award 2015 organised by Hong Kong Design Centre. Fashion Incubation Programme 2019 -2021 organised by Hong Kong Design Centre.
Timbee Lo
Founded in 2005, Timbee’s own brand TIMBEE LO is inspired by the theme of a “quirky scientist’s laboratory,” showcasing a unique creative vision. The brand draws inspiration from a scientist deeply immersed in experiments within a forest, translating this concept into fashion. The collection features everyday minimalist clothing transformed into artful pieces characterized by a disheveled aesthetic, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, exuding a distinct charm.
TIMBEE LO’s designs emphasize asymmetry, primarily utilizing black and solid colors that complement the brand’s accessories. The accessories resemble the scientist’s experiments, crafted from metals, plants, animals, and gemstones to create extraordinary items. Bold and avant-garde, these pieces reflect the brand’s artistic mission.
The brand’s offerings of “Wearable Art” represent a fusion of fashion and art, with an alternative and innovative style aimed at capturing attention. All accessories are handcrafted, embodying the philosophy of sacrificing for art, and encouraging customers to customize their favourite designs.
Korean Designers
Ye Ran Ji
YeRanJi is the founder and creative director of CENTAUR.KR. Since 2008, she has been pioneering Korean fashion with a philosophy centred on health and love. Through her brand, she offers fashion enthusiasts worldwide a sense of freedom and comfort imbued with profound meaning.
A veteran of Seoul Fashion Week, YeRanJi has showcased her work consistently since 2008, participating in prestigious events such as Generation Next and the Seoul Fashion Fair. She has received international recognition, including being named “Asia Top Fashion Up-and-Coming Designer of the Year” at the 2011 Fashion Asia Awards, and staging successful shows in Tokyo and China. She has also contributed to major entertainment projects, designing costumes for BoA’s music videos and providing styling for Korean dramas.
As an educator, she has shared her expertise through lectures at K-SAD University and other institutions. With over 17 years of dedication to creating fashion that embodies vitality and emotional connection, her brand CENTAUR establishes her as one of Korea’s most consistent and evolving contemporary designers.
Ku Won Jung
Ku WonJung, the founder and creative director of COCANCL, designs clothing for women who embrace an ocean-inspired, free-spirited lifestyle. The brand’s philosophy centres on bringing the essence of summer seas to everyday life by crafting comfortable yet stylish designs that blend seamlessly into a healthy, natural lifestyle.
Ku WonJung has exceptional international experience, having studied at prestigious institutions including Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion. She also holds an MA in Fashion Design from Hongik University. Through her previous label, ‘Unbounded AWE’ (2009–2021), she showcased her designs on major international platforms, including Seoul Fashion Week Generation Next, London Fashion Week and premium trade shows in Berlin and New York.
Her design approach focuses on the authentic beauty of natural, unadorned living, creating pieces that embody comfort and sophistication. Since launching COCANCL in 2021, she has continued to develop clothing that allows women to experience the freedom and vitality of oceanic summers all year round, regardless of their location.
Yang Dohyun
Dohyun Yang, founder and creative director of Extraordinary, has led creative projects for a variety of clients, most notably Adidas Korea, through his design studio Unius Design Lab. He is a recipient of the 2018 Red Dot Design Award (Product Design Category) and a former lecturer at Kaywon University of Art & Design. Yang’s concept-driven philosophy forms the backbone of the brand, shaping its identity and creative direction.
Extraordinary inspires in the most ordinary and develops visual messages into clothing in the most extraordinary way. Ordinary refers to the classic empathy that has been built up through many trials and errors, and extraordinary refers to the NEW of time and behaviour that breaks down bad customs that have not been resolved for a long time. Extraordinary is making a collection with the goal of convergence of mediocrity and extraordinariness in harmony with the rapidly changing phenomena of the times.
Choi Kyong Ho & Song Hyun Heui
Co-founders and creative directors of HOLYNUMBER7, Choi Kyong Ho and Song Hyun Heui create conceptual fashion that tells positive stories based on biblical narratives each season. Their brand challenges the prevailing provocative fashion culture by infusing hope and positivity into designs that are both witty and profound, and which become a meaningful language for the wearer.
The duo has exceptional credentials: Song Hyun Heui served as Vice President of the Council of Fashion Designers of Korea (CFDK) from 2020 to 2024, and is an adjunct professor at Sejong University. Since launching HOLYNUMBER7 in 2017, they have achieved remarkable international recognition, having showcased their work at Seoul Fashion Week, Shanghai Fashion Week and Bangkok International Fashion Week. They have also delivered notable presentations in Paris and Guangzhou.
They have received numerous prestigious awards in recognition of their artistic excellence, including the 2022 K-Fashion Audition Presidential Award, the Korea Designer Fashion Awards Excellence Prize, and multiple Global Original Design Brand Awards at Guangzhou Fashion Week. HOLYNUMBER7 represents a unique voice in contemporary fashion, creating collections that maintain artistic integrity while delivering messages of hope and humanity.
Kim So Yoen
Kim So Yoen, the founder and creative director of TYCHEBE, has over 15 years’ experience in design, gained in her leadership role at Handsome Co., Ltd. Named after Tyche, the goddess of luck and wealth, TYCHEBE embodies elegance and opulence for modern women who aspire to live beautifully with aesthetic sophistication.
The Seoul-based label explores contemporary womenswear through distinctive designs, meticulous craftsmanship and systematic innovation. Drawing inspiration from the lives and aspirations of women, Kim So Yoen creates timeless wardrobes that support their goals while evolving subtly with their changing needs. The brand’s symbol, the cornucopia, represents the flow of abundance and prosperity into women’s lives.
Since launching TYCHEBE in 2022, Kim So Yoen has rapidly established an international presence through strategic showcases, including the Hi Seoul Showroom and the Tokyo Fashion Order Exhibition. The brand will also be participating in the New York Coterie in the near future. Combining timeless elegance with modern functionality, her vision creates a unique aesthetic that defines the dress code for ambitious contemporary women seeking both style and substance.
Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) is organized by the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA), with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong SAR Government as the lead sponsor. As a flagship program under the HKSAR Government’s “Hong Kong Fashion Fest,” Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) brings together leading academics, fashion industry experts, NGOs, media, decision-makers, and thought leaders across sectors to drive sustainable fashion development in Asia through continuous dialogue and innovation. Since 2017, the summit has served as a key platform for global participants to exchange insights on the latest trends, technologies, best practices, and opportunities in sustainable fashion through its international interactive conferences.
The 2024 edition, themed “Power Up Sustainable Fashion Business,” highlights the shift of sustainability from an environmental concept to a core business asset. Strengthening Hong Kong’s role as a fashion hub requires embedding sustainable values into everyday business operations. For the first time, Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) will launch a pop-up store and present three AI-driven fashion showcases at AIRSIDE Mall, empowering young local designers to explore new possibilities in sustainable fashion while engaging global audiences and sustainability-minded consumers.

Ferrando Chan
Ferrando Chan graduated from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is currently the Design Manager at Doriano International Limited.
In 2011, Ferrando received the “EcoChic People’s Award” from Redress. He has over ten years of experience in fashion design, covering a wide range of categories including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, evening wear, suits, and formal menswear. He has also designed corporate uniforms for various industries such as aviation, property management, retail, hospitality, chain restaurants, and telecommunications. He has contributed to and led multiple crossover collections, including Justice League x Dorian Ho, DOXA x Dorian Ho, and Project UpCycling by JESSICA x CDA-Asia.
In 2024, Ferrando launched his own menswear brand, RANDOK, which draws inspiration from travel. His designs invite people to explore, experience, and immerse themselves in different dimensions while reliving and continuing the beauty of their travel memories.
Recently, Ferrando was invited to serve as Creative Executive Director of Threads of Creativity – Fashion Design Competition, where he hopes to support the next generation of designers and help drive the industry forward.
Jasmine Leung
Jasmine has experience working on design and production projects for theatre performances both locally and internationally, as well as for high-end fashion brands. In 2023, she launched her Redress Design Award collection, Over the Midnight of the Doomsday Clock. Her vision is to redefine beauty and shift the stereotype that sustainable fashion lacks appeal—by creating a new image for eco-fashion. Drawing inspiration from art, film, philosophy, and culture, her designs reinterpret gender aesthetics and emphasize smooth, flawless silhouettes.
Jeremy Wong & Hana Tam
As the founders of Hong Kong’s consignment store BBM, Jeremy and Hana have been selling hundreds of one-time-worn outfits from local celebrities and influencers through occasional pop-up stores. Over the years, they noticed that many unsold luxury items were beautifully designed, and saw the potential to give them new life through creative redesign. BBM’s brand ethos centers on sustainable fashion that doesn’t sacrifice style — turning pre-loved pieces into bold, fashion-forward statements.
Jesse Lee
Jesse Lee is a Hong Kong-born Chinese designer, currently based between London and Hong Kong. He holds a Master’s degree in Menswear from the University of Westminster, UK, and a Fashion degree from Kingston University, UK. Jesse’s innovative approach to sustainable fashion has earned him multiple international awards, including First Prize in the Sportswear category at the 2022 International Talent Support Contest (ITS).
In 2020, he received the Redress Design Award All-Star Prize for his collaboration with The R Collective and Levi’s® on the “Denim Reimagined” collection, which focused on upcycling and sustainability. In 2018, he also won Second Prize in the Redress Design Award and received the Entrepreneurship Prize under the mentorship of Orsola de Castro. That same year, he received the Hong Kong Best Prize for the same collection.
Jesse’s work has gained international recognition. He was a finalist in the 2024 Circular Design Challenge – Asia-Pacific Region, the 2023 Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC), and the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery – Digital Embroidery category.
His designs not only reflect his passion for innovation and sustainability in fashion but also demonstrate his vision to redefine fashion.
Kelvin Wan & Joyce Wong
Kelvin Wan
Kelvin Wan is an experienced fashion designer and creative director with over 12 years of international industry experience. He brings deep insight into trend analysis, supply chain management, and sustainable fashion design. Having built strong partnerships with brands, suppliers, and manufacturers, he consistently delivers high-quality design and strategic execution.
Kelvin’s passion for fashion began in his teenage years. He won the EcoChic Design Award in 2012, was featured by Not Just A Label, and his work has appeared in leading fashion publications. Now based in Hong Kong, he leads Cycle Textiles and co-founded the fashion brand VIRTUE, focusing on sustainable innovation.
Joyce Wong
Joyce Wong is a seasoned fashion consultant with expertise in creative direction, brand strategy, and sustainability. With over a decade of experience, she has worked with renowned brands such as Kering, Burberry, and Salvatore Ferragamo. Her work spans from collection development to event production, always with a sharp eye for detail and innovation.
Joyce is also active in social impact initiatives, collaborating with NGOs to promote sustainability and corporate responsibility. Based in Hong Kong, she oversees Cycle Textiles and co-founded VIRTUE, leading its vision for sustainable fashion transformation.
Karen Chan
Karen Chan is the founder and creative director of SPARKLE by KAREN CHAN, an avant-garde fashion brand that revitalizes traditional Chinese cheongsams with a playful, East-meets-West approach. Her designs bridge cultural heritage with modern sensibilities, appealing to a global audience. Karen has received numerous cultural and creative awards, and her brand has been named a “Hong Kong Top Brand.” She has collaborated with the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, Sam Tung Uk Museum, “Old Master Q,” the Hong Kong Dance Company, and UOB’s Art in Ink Festival. Her work has been featured in fashion weeks across Hong Kong, Milan, Paris, London, New York, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Los Angeles, and Bangkok.
A strong advocate for arts and culture, Karen serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Chair of the Arts Promotion Committee, and Vice Chair of the Xiqu (Chinese opera) Art Form Group, among other public service roles. Through her designs and leadership, she continues to redefine Chinese fashion for the next generation.
Tiger Chung
Tiger Chung is a rising fashion designer from Hong Kong and the Grand Prize winner of the 2024 Young Designers’ Contest (YDC). His design practice is rooted in the highest expression of haute couture craftsmanship, constructing intellectually rich visual narratives by fusing deconstructed traditional techniques with a surreal and ironic vocabulary.
His work often showcases meticulous handcraftsmanship—ranging from the structural precision of three-dimensional tailoring to the microcosmic detail of French embroidery—interwoven with dramatic clashes of unconventional materials and cultural references. These juxtapositions generate an aesthetic paradox in which elegance and absurdity coexist.
Vickie Au
Vickie is a dedicated and passionate fashion designer with over twenty years’ experience in the industry. She specialises in fashion design, branding, corporate uniforms and fashion education. She specialises in sustainable fashion, creating designs that have a positive impact on people and the planet.
In 2018, she founded V Visionary Design Studio, which has earned recognition for its sustainable fashion designs. In 2019, the studio launched her sustainable fashion brand, V VISSI: Revisit, and its collection won the “Best of the Best” award from Red Dot Design in 2020, as well as the “Year of Fashion” award from the International Design Award (USA) in the same year. Vickie is committed to creating innovative, eco-conscious designs that have a positive impact on the world.
She is also dedicated to social good and has volunteered in senior management roles for over twenty years. She aspires to be a social innovator and curator, working towards a new norm of fashion, business, community and eco-consciousness, or “fashion for social good”. She launched the “Look Cool Do Good” project, which aims to collaborate, innovate and create sustainable possibilities among corporate clients and consumers. The project is supported by the “SIE Fund” as a “Social Impact Incubator”.
Wai Yee Cheung
WaiYee is a hand-knit designer who specializes in handmade crochet garments. She graduated from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2024. Passionate about crocheting, she is skilled at combining rich colors and diverse yarn textures to create wearable and playful pieces. This passion led her to found her personal brand, Messy Thing Store. WaiYee’s creations bring vibrancy and charm to everyday wardrobes, turning each piece into a one-of-a-kind wearable artwork.
As part of the opening program of the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival, a remarkable “Virtual Movie Fashion Show” was unveiled. Led by renowned fashion designer Dorian Ho, the show featured a collaboration with recent graduates from the Hong Kong Design Institute’s Costume Design for Performance program. Together, they reimagined nine contemporary film-inspired looks based on five iconic Hong Kong movies, integrating cutting-edge AI technology to present both the reinterpreted scenes and fashion designs.
This “Virtual Movie Fashion Show” was a groundbreaking blend of fashion, art, and technology, delivering an unprecedented visual experience. Each ensemble showcased distinctive creativity and flair, seamlessly merging the essence of classic cinema with contemporary style. The audience was captivated by the imaginative visuals and refreshed interpretations, experiencing a truly immersive spectacle.
